Poznań 7th International Ice Sculpture Festival (15 pictures)

Yesterday (Saturday the 15th) I went up to Stary Rynek (the old town square) because I had heard there were ice sculptures there (thank you Pawel for mentioning it in passing) and I wanted to see them before they melted.  It was first day over zero in a bit and it was raining, so I figured they might melt fast.

The picture below is of the winning sculpture, which won 1500 Euros.

More pictures after the break (if you are viewing this on the home page).

The picture below is of the 2nd-place sculpture.

The picture below is of the 3rd-place sculpture.

I liked this peacock set and was surprised it didn't place in the Top 3.

The following pictures are of other ice sculptures.

And just for a topper, here are a couple of pictures of some of the decorations at Stary Browar, the mall across the street from my work.

And lastly, there are some young women wandering around the mall in these angel outfits.  I think they are trying to sell something, but even my co-workers haven't bothered to stop and talk to them to find out what they are offering.  :)

 Have a wonderful Christmas!
