A Visit to Frankfurt - Part 5: Cemetery 2 (8 pictures)

This is the second of two posts that contains pictures from my visit to the Hauptfriedhof (main cemetery).  Again, this post will just have pictures with some captions possibly.  Enjoy!

Perhaps the coolest thing in the whole cemetery that I saw this mausoleum that looks like a castle.

Probably the saddest thing I came across was this child's grave where small toys have been left for many years.  It's a reminder that the cemetery is still in use for some families.



Overall, the cemetery is pretty heavily forested.  It's very quiet, cool, and peaceful.



This is one of the larger paved paths.  Many of the paths are just dirt and not this wide.

I happened to be at the right angle to grab this picture, and like the way the tree is almost a dark outline with the one gravestone in front almost invisible.
